Johnson, the director of “Star Wars: Episode VIII,” says his highly anticipated sci-fi sequel has had an actual title since he began working on the film a couple years ago. He’s just not able to unveil it yet.
“It was in the very first draft I wrote,” he told USA Today.
This tidbit of information doesn’t surprise me at all. After all, a title is basically a synopsis for the storyline, and without it, you don’t have the central idea or focal point to what you are creating. That said, December 15th can’t come soon enough.
